People remember only 20% of what they hear and only 30% of what they see.  But an incredible 70% of what they hear and see.  It should be no surprise that visual aids have become "must have" sales and marketing tools for businesses of all kinds.

Visual application is applied to all aspects of marketing in these modern times.  We see it in full color catalogs, packaging and advertising as used over the years.  Other than advertising done with visual motion these are mostly still photography.  The point is that is is not just text messages.  Our high tech world has brought us to a new visual world of video presentation.

What our industry needs most from these methods is product knowledge training.  Industry feedback says that the number two concerns behind pricing is the need of product knowledge.  The product knowledge needs to be applied to everyone in the sales loop from manufacturing to consumer.  Where the sales story stops, so stops the sale.  To begin to harness the opportunities of this modern technology, we have to accept two facts.  First we need effective product knowledge training and then understand the sales teams.  This includes the factory sales people, the independent reps, the W/D sales people and finally the retail counter sales people.
